He assured us in 24-48 hours, the issue would be resolved and the department would reset the consoles manually. This form would be sent to the department to authorize a reset of the consoles. He told my fiance that he placed a note on the account itself and instructed him to fill out a form. The representative on the phone told him that he understood that we did not authorize the deactivation. After work, my fiance contacts Playstation Support. However, because it was a Sunday, we had to wait until Monday to do so. We decided we needed to contact Playstation Support. We never give our account to anyone but each other. We found this very odd because we did not authorize in deactivation. However, the site notified us that we had already used this option and it was only available once every six months. We tried to "deactivate all consoles", via the site. The purpose of this is, if you forgot to deactivate a console as a primary console and you no longer had access to said console, you would be able to go online and resolve the issue that way. The website directed us to an option on our account that was called "deactivate all accounts". We found this odd, so we went to the Playstation website to resolve the issue. We tried to activate our console as our primary account, however, it notified us another console was set to the primary console for our "main" account. Somehow, it was no longer the primary account. Simply by chance, my fiance checked to see if the "main" account was set to a primary account on our console. We tried restarting the console a couple of times because an issue like this did arise once or twice due to a Playstation Network Error.
My fiance thought that perhaps there was a license error and he reset the licenses on the "main" account. On my personal account, I tried to play a game online. To continue on, the day I noticed unauthorized access on my fiance's account was a Thursday.
This only occurs if the account with Playstation Plus is not the "primary account". This also means that any games that were downloaded through Playstation Plus could not be played by any other account. If it is not a primary account, any other account on the console can no longer access online play without the account purchasing Playstation Plus.
Clarification Number two: The account with Playstation Plus must be loaded onto the Ps4 as a "Primary Account". We did this so that all of the accounts would still have access to playing online and we wouldn't have to buy more than one subscription of Playstation Plus. Of course a couple of years later Sony announced that you could make your Sub Account, a main account) Anyway, this account we considered our "main" account had our playstation plus subscription. Even though I had turned eighteen years ago, I could not do anything without my fathers permission so I made a new account. I could not use this account unless he updated the permissions on it which he could not do. (On a side note, I had to make a new account because my old one was a Sub Account and my father had access to it. This was an old account my fiance had before he made a new one with me. Number one: The account that I am speaking of is what we consider our "main" account. I would like to clarify things before I continue my story. We thought we had dodged a hefty bullet, but unfortunately, we were wrong.
I immediately notified him while he was at work and he changed all of his account information for the account. While he was there, I was on our Playstation 4 console and I noticed that his account was signed in, playing a game we did not own.
It all started like this: I was home one day and my fiance was at work.
